KOH GEN DO MOISTURE CONCEALER
What it is: A concealer palette with three shades that you can mix together or layer alone to fit the coverage needed for particular blemishes.
Consistency: Creamy and light, each layer you put on is quite sheer so at best it gives you medium coverage.
Application: Honestly in this weather, I've been trying really hard to ditch my foundation and just stick to concealer over my skin care products. For that purpose, this palette served me really well. The thing is, while we may think we only need one shade of concealer for our entire face, the blemishes we have demand different hues to completely cover them up. For my eye bags, I used the darkest shade which on my hand looks a bit pink but covered the greys on my under eyes great. For blemishes (both the fresh and the scars of pimples past), the medium shade blended perfectly. Again, since there are three shades, you can really rub the colors together to get your actual skin shade if the given colors don't quite fit. Lastly, I worked the fairest shade like a highlighter, dabbing trace amounts on the inner corners of my eyes, under my brows and on the bridge of my nose to give some dimension to my face without having to add color.
Recommendation: Women who have uneven skin tone (like me!) will find this to be a steal. Three concealers for the price of one is a pretty good deal. Plus, how great would this be to give as a gift? I personally try to stay away from giving base as presents but with this pallete you really can't go wrong.

REVLON PHOTO-READY PERFECTING PRIMER
What it is: A primer that smoothes over pores, lines and other imperfections to allow your foundation to slip on flawlessly.
Consistency: When the product first came out of the pump, I noticed it was a bit thick, much like a balm and had a translucent white color.
Application: First off, I'm not really the type to wear primer. I only use base when I feel my skin isn't smooth or is mildly bumpy. After depositing some product onto my fingers, I warmed the product a bit by rubbing before applying onto my face. Next, I layered on the foundation. While the product did disappear onto my skin, it still kind of felt like I had an extra layer, rather than feeling completely weightless. It did however really make my skin look and feel smooth, making my bumps and lines disappear. Plus, I was matte all day!
Recommendation: I'd recommend this for special occassions when you really need full coverage. While I'm not one to really pile on much makeup anyway, I did notice that the rest of the products I put on after the primer did stay in tact for the entire day!

SMASHBOX STUDIO SKIN 15 HOUR WEAR FOUNDATION
What it is: A long-wear foundation that has buildable coverage with SPF 10.
Consistency: Nice and light, a tad more watery than most liquid foundations.
Application: After applying moisturizer, I applied the foundation onto my face with a synthetic makeup brush, paying closer attention to areas that I need more coverage. I kept it light on my T-Zone where I usually get oily mid-day. I sealed the product in with a layer of translucent powder and then proceeded to put on my blush and bronzer. All-in-all, I loved how this foundation melted into my skin. It had the finish of a tinted moisturizer with the coverage of a thicker formula.
Recommendation: Anyone from the dry, normal to oily could benefit from this foundation. It really does give you a flawless finish and doesn't cake or crease even after a full day at work.
