One Wednesday afternoon, Reggie took me to a  product launch for a men's skin care line, Lab Series. For those who are not familiar with the brand, it's a high-performance skin care line for men specifically targeted to address men’s concerns. They use modern technology, advanced ingredients, and the latest research on men’s physiological and lifestyle needs to develop highly effective products.

Upon arriving, the skincare experts welcomed us and asked what my skin-related concerns were. They also offered to analyze my skin using a high-tech skin analyzer to provide me with the most accurate, informative assessment of my skin. This device examined my skin on four levels: Tone, Flakiness, Oiliness, and Texture on a 3-point scale. Results showed that I was normal in terms of Flakiness and Tone. I scored high on Oiliness, but the technician did say that results can be affected by many other external factors such as weather and time of day, while I scored perfectly in terms of Flakiness. Based on the result, the Lab Series skincare experts recommended these products: Multi-Action Face Wash, Daily Moisture Defense Lotion SPF 15, and Invigorating Face Scrub.

­I’ve been using these products for a couple of weeks now and here’s my review on each product:

MULTI-ACTION FACE WASH THEIR CLAIM: This facial wash is your shortcut to brighter, healthier looking skin in just one wash. First, it deep cleanses, washes away dirt and grime. It also polishes with the help of mild exfoliating beads. Lastly, it conditions your beard before shaving. It’s also scent-free, which, for me, is always a bonus! MY REVIEW: I used this product before and after sleeping, using my bare hands to gently massage the product over my wet face and rinsing it after with warm water. After using it, my skin feels extra clean as compared to just using ordinary bath soap. For guys with sensitive skin, this might be too harsh because it’s a daily cleanser, but for those with normal skin type like me, it’s perfect. I also can’t help but notice how squeaky clean my skin feels after, something that bath soap fails to achieve. This is one of the best facial cleansers I’ve used so far.
