Following last year's team-up with Chinese director Wong Kar Wai, luxe makeup brand Shu Uemura has now announced that they've another big name in the art scene for their upcoming Holiday 2012 collection: Karl Lagerfeld. 

An interesting partnership that was forged long before the upcoming collection, Shu Uemura had always been part of Karl's design process. For twenty years, Chanel's Creative Director has used their eye shadows as paint pots when sketching his new designs. "I design with Shu Uemura makeup because other manufacturers do not offer such beautiful colors," he noted. Aside from the color selection, Karl will also be designing the packaging and photographing the campaign images.

Watch out for the Karl Lagerfeld X Shu Uemura will launch in Manila in November 2012. Just another reason to begin the countdown to the ber months starting now!
