With the summer very much still at its peak, nothing seems to refresh our thirst like a whole bunch of new products. To start, beach-life may have its relaxing perks but do keep in mind that nothing ruins your skin more long-term like too much fun in the sun.  

Vaseline introduced its newest answer to the ticking clock with the Perfect 10 Whitening and Anti-Aging Lotion. Geared for women in their 30s that are looking to treat lost elasticity, wrinkles and dark spots, the new body lotion contains Vitamin B3 and CLA to treat hyper pigmentation while Retinol, AHA and antioxidants fortify the skin to exfoliate dead skin cells and regenerate supple, elastic skin.

Meeting the media for high tea at the Rockwell Club, Vaseline introduced a woman who embodies the “perfect 10,” mom, blogger and television host, Daphne Osena-Paez. Joining the Vaseline team on stage, Daphne shared just how the moisturizer has transformed her skin to looking and feeling much younger and even-toned. An added treat for the special guest was a surprise video from hubby Patrick Paez giving a romantic testimony to why he thinks his wife is perfection which of course left little a dry eye in the house.

Speaking of romance, Lancome transformed Skye Lounge into a Parisian garden-party to celebrate their launch of the new Rouge In Love lipstick shades. With Emma Watson at the forefront of the campaign, the beauty brand released a younger, fresher aesthetic with their mix of everyday no-fuss coral and nude hues as well as edgier shades like a stand-out bright violet.

The 22 shades are divided into three “colour universes”—Jolis Matins, muted neutrals and pinks with subtle tone-on-tone pearl particles, Boudoir Time, vibrant reds and purples with contrasting pearl particles and Tonight Is My Night, dark mauves and wines with gold pearl particles.

Also on the makeup front, anyone who’s passed by a Shu Uemura boutique recently has probably noticed the truckload of new products that the brand has brought in. First off, the Japanese label highlights new Silk Smooth Eye Shadow and Creme Eye Shadow, perfect new formulas that are not only a dream to look but glide on your lids with such ease (trust us, the hardest part will be picking a shade!).

The new single shadows, together with the classic glitter and solid shades can all be packaged in a 4-slot case to customize your very own palette with infinite possibilities. Shu Uemura has also just debuted 50 (yes, 50) new lipstick shades that range from mattes, sheers to shimmers to beef up a once limited selection. All in all, great news for our faces and bad news for our wallets!
