Darkness falls this September as autumn revives goth glam with the ultimate lip color-black. We first saw it on the fall runways as dark-lipped ladies dominated both the futuristic Yves Saint Laurent and classic Christian Dior shows, proving that the power pout works well with any style.


Of course, black lips won't work for everyone, but you can still make a statement by picking from dark shades like crimson, wine, and chocolate. Take your cue from the local appearances of this season's strong lip-the cover of Preview's September issue featured actress Bea Alonzo sporting an intense purple color, and the recent Rajo Red! gala paired dramatic dresses with a dark crimson lip.
