LADY IN RED

Anne Curtis reigns supreme on Preview's November
2009
cover.

By Isha Andaya
What better way to herald the holidays with a glamorous look that spells full-on woman? Anne Curtis sits pretty on Preview Magazine's November cover, red-haute in a strapless, party-ready crimson gown offset by an elegant, understated beauty look that complements her classic charm.

Her luminous, almost retro makeup—replete with heavy winged liner, light lips and a modernized beehive—epitomizes the “less is more” adage. Meticulously defined eyes, a powdered face and peachy-nude lips, when done seamlessly, create a look of ladylike nonchalance, brought to the forefront by our favorite leading ladies of the '60s.

To cop the much-coveted look, go stealthily seductive by seeming unaffected by the frenzy of the outside world (mad Christmas rush notwithstanding); it all might have taken hours, but making it all look effortless, a trick our cover girl has down to a T, is indeed the sexiest of all.
