DESIGNER SPOTLIGHT: KENNETH CHUA

From a designer whose last collection was inspired by online gaming fantasy worlds to another designer whose lauded PFW Holiday 2010 lineup was inspired by a soul-searching dominatrix, we now come to another Preview emerging designer: a Marian devotee who made mannequins come to life for his PFW Holiday 2010 show.

Kenneth Chua showed such tailoring and design aptitude in his first Philippine Fashion Week collection that the Preview editors couldn't help but notice.

"I kept form and shape in mind when I created this new collection for Philippine Fashion Week," Kenneth recalls. "I envisioned a mannequin coming to life via form-fitting couture dresses that celebrate the womanly figure. At the end of the day, I believe that the female silhouette is something that should constantly be emphasized, no matter what outfit you are wearing."
