There's a floor-grazing trend that has been sweeping (pun intended!) through the fashion industry! Sheer maxi skirts show just the right amount of skin and let you feel feminine and sexy all at the same time.

The fashion world first fell in love with the look in the Fall of 2010 when Ricardo Tisci released intricate dresses with sheer skirts for his couture collection for Givenchy; a look he explored further in the label's Spring-Summer 2011 couture presentation. Then Gucci released it's Fall 2011 ready-to-wear collection with delicious, jewel-toned sheer skirts over vintage-cut pants beneath.

We saw local designers embrace the idea with the likes of Julius Tarog, Eric Delos Santos, Jerome Salaya Ang, James Reyes, Ivarluski Aseron and more sending out sheer skirts on gowns or as separates during Philippine Fashion Week Holiday 2011 and Fashion Watch 2011.  The metro's style stars were also quick to catch the trend from stylists and fashion editors, to fashionphiles and even fashion bloggers!
