Five by Five is a newly-established online shop that offers a wide selection of affordable women’s footwear. Owner, Nicole Warren, a shoe-lover herself, aims to provide a fun and hassle-free online shopping experience.

“I started buying things online over a year ago. Initially, I was scared and unsure if it was safe because obviously, it wasn't a typical set-up wherein there is a physical and immediate exchange of cash and goods,” Nicole shares. “I started noticing that there were a few things that I would do differently based on my experience as a buyer and background in retail. Eventually, I decided to make these ideas work and try out my luck on this endeavor.”

As with most first-time online shoppers, purchasing products from the net poses a lot of apprehensions like the inability to physically hold the item, as well as monetary and delivery concerns.

“The fact that customers cannot touch or feel the item as they would be able to in a regular store means that we need to compensate for this by giving them as much information as possible. This gives them a good idea of what to expect and decide on their purchases. It’s not about posting a single shot of the item available for sale.  Customers need to know what they are getting,” Nicole asserts.

Five by Five is also not limited to posting product information. It has added editorial features in the site such as Real Versus Steal, which highlights items that are similar to designer pieces minus the hefty price tag. Celebrity Style shows celebrities in their fashionable best and suggests ways to cop their looks. Finally, Stylist/Muse of the Month features stylish local personalities.

The online shoe label is currently focused on getting the word out that online shoe shopping can be such a breeze. It hopes to grow its brand by widening the range of shoe styles, perhaps getting international clients and by doing collaborations with different people; all these, hand-in-hand with its commitment of providing excellent customer service and quality products.

  • their shoes are waaaay too expensive for its substandard quality. i know their supplier and i tell you, i get the exact same shoes they sell for a third or their price. puhleease.

  • i hope they reply. They are an online shop but they never respond to the queries of buyers. We can not just fill in an order form if we like something on their shop.
