FASHION INSTITUTE OF THE PHILIPPINES' 2011 GRADUATION SHOW
The 2011 batch of the Fashion Institute of the Philippines (FIP) held their graduation show, entitled Imaginarium, last August 25 in Greenbelt 5's Fashion Walk. The following thirty students presented four pieces each (click on their names to view their collections):
Of these students, three were picked by the judges (including Preview's Daryl Chang, stylist Andre Chang, The Ramp at Crossing's General Manager Xandra Ramos-Padilla, and fashion designer and FIP President Renee Salud) as the top collections: Stephan John Acelar took the 3rd place, Mikee Andrei placed second, while Seph Bagasao (who's also one of the PEFTA designers this year) won first place. An all-expense paid trip to Paris and an opportunity to sell his collection at The Ramp at Crossings are among the prizes Seph won.
Other honors given out were: Best in Fashion Illustration, Marc Blanco; Best in Garment Construction, Stephan John Acelar; Best in Technique, Venus Ocampo; and The Ramp Crossings' Most Promising Retail Designer, Karmeli Love.
