The 5th Star Magic Ball was held in Manila Peninsula last Saturday and boy was it glamorous as ever!

ABS-CBN talents and guests went straight to the lobby for cocktails after walking the red carpet to mingle with guests, have their photos taken and of course, short interviews in between. The bubbly was sponsored by Moet & Chandon, which added a little more sparkle to the event.

We spotted ABS-CBN's bright stars and a lot of their upcoming talents looking all dolled up like Katheryn Bernardo, Julia Montes, Queenie Padilla, and Lauren Young. Things got a little more interesting when Heart Evangelista, whose career started with Star Magic though she is now a talent of GMA, walked in looking glamorous in a dress by Inno Sotto. She was greeted by Mr. M, Johnny Manahan, and the rest of her old Star Magic family. They chatted her up, asking how she was; it seems all is well we think, not that we were eavesdropping or anything!

The crowd went abuzz as soon as the network's three biggest couples walked in—Zanjoe Marudo with Bea Alonso, KC Concepcion with Piolo Pascual, and Shaina Magdayao with John Lloyd Cruz. The press swarmed in to have their photos taken. What we found so cute was that when we'd ask KC and Piolo if we could photograph them separately, they just wouldn't let go of each other!

As for the one who stood out on the carpet, hats off to Pokwang who had two outfits prepared! One was an embellished dress by Popo Go, which had around 3000 crystals on the sleeves alone, and the second was a Kermit Tesoro creation replete with glittery gold boots.

Two newly married couples also attended the event, John Estrada with wife Priscilla and also Oyo Boy Sotto and wife, Kristine. Both ladies sported a soon-to-be-mommy glow, their dresses showing just a hint of their baby bumps!

Fashionably late were Kim Chiu and best friend Maja Salvador who got to the venue just in time, rushing through the press to get to the ballroom.

Right after the program ended which was held in the Rigodon Ballroom of the Peninsula Manila, the guests went straight to Salon De Ning to continue with the party!
