BLOGGER CHALLENGE: TANGERINE

The rainy days are upon us but that won't stop us from wearing brights, especially Tangerine. It's a refreshing orange shade that matches any skin tone so it's perfect for everyone to try. Preview's Lyca Puno even listed down a couple of retail finds in her Editor's Picks for this month's issue of Preview!

Read on to check out how Alexa Martin, Dominique Tiu, Lana Tiotuyco, Danika Rio Navarro, Mandi Garcia and Aisa Ipac incorporate this year's Pantone shade into their wardrobes.

What made you want to try this trend?
I wanted to try this trend because I've always been a fan of color and this bright red orange hue is so appealing and looks fun to wear.

How do you build your outfit around it?
Since the skirt shows a lot of leg, I decided to wear a long-sleeved jumper to balance the look. For my top, I picked one that's 2 shades lighter than my skirt. Monochromatic colors are always great because of the subtle and peaceful effect they give.

How do you make the look your own?
Most people would excessorize and would wear a pair of chunky earrings, a bunch of rings and pile on necklaces. But I decided to keep the look simple and clean by accessorizing minimally with gold and wooden bangles.

How do you balance your outfit to avoid making it look over-the-top?
For my accessories, I chose pieces in muted colors that would go well with my tangerine skirt. I chose a basic clutch, a pair of peeptoes, and bangles in warm earth tones to make the clothes stand out.

Can you give tips on how to wear this trend?
Less is always more. Keep the palette clean and stick with colors that complement each other. If you want to wear lots of accessories, balance the look by wearing a plain top. And lastly, don't be afraid to try out this trend. Tangerine isn't a difficult color to wear because it works well with most skin tones.

How would you wear it during the day, night, to a party, to work?
For day, I'll wear this skirt with a tank top, a pair of pretty bejeweled flat sandals and a sling bag that screams bohemian chic. For night, I'll ditch the flats and wear wedges, a gorgeous collar necklace and stack on slim bangles. To a party, I'll pair the skirt with a corset top, strap on sexy stilettos, grab a sequined clutch and don a pair of statement earrings.

Long sleeve jumper, U2. Asymmetrical skirt, online store. Gold bangles, Forever 21. Wooden bangles, Celine. Nude peep-toes, Call It Spring. Clutch, Oleg Cassini.
