What made you try this trend?
I wanted to try out this trend because it's something unusual for my age and something not everyone is so willing to try out.
How did you build your outfit around it?
Since the color is different and has print, I wanted everything else to be plain enough to focus on it, except the top wherein the print matched the pants.
How do you style it to make the look your own?
I added my trusty floppy hat, my comfy wedges, and a good pair of shades.
How do you balance your look to avoid making it look over-the-top?
Keep everything else plain and simple.
How do you accessorize when you wear wide-legged trousers?
Heels work best with trousers, because it makes you look even taller and always carry around a good pair of shades because that completes the look!
Can you give tips on how to wear this trend?
For wide-legged trousers, it's best to wear them with a tight top and don't forget the heels so you look extra tall!
How would you wear it during the day, night, to the beach, to a party, to work, etc.?
Definitely something you can wear in many occasions except the beach, the beach is all about being bare and I don't think this trend isn't classified under that category!

What made you try this trend?
I'm really a skirt or dress person and this is my very first outfit sporting trousers (you can even check my blog for reference). The amount of wideness I'm looking for is just right and I think the neon-like color of the trousers is very unusual. I also couldn't resist the rare texture—velvet and sheer houndstooth print. It's really strange because I do own a lot of pretty to even crazy pantalons/trousers, but for some reason, I never got the chance to wear them.
How did you build your outfit around it?
Since the color of my trousers is bright and the texture is already rich, a simple plain top did the job. I just added another pop of color, wearing pastel shoes to make the entire look unique and not too predictable. And I think wearing gold accessory is best to complete the look. I love seeing gold against pastel colors.
How did you style it to make the look your own?
Styling my outfit with one of a kind pieces, like for example, this gold vintage necklace and gold dragon bracelet I wore, gave the entire look a lot of character. Experimenting with odd pairings and bold pieces is really my thing.
How did you balance your look to avoid making it look over-the-top?
Wearing too many trendy pieces in one outfit, plus styling with too much accessories will definitely make the entire outfit looking clumsy. The secret is keeping the look simple, fresh yet stylish. Highlighting few key pieces is the perfect way to achieve a more polished and well-put together look.
How did you accessorize?
It really depends, but for this specific look, the trousers are already a showstopper with its shocking color and very nice texture, so few accessories is the best thing to do. Adding another color, like my salmon colored wedges, in this outfit is quite tricky, but this can make the entire look unique and fresh! I guess looking classy and a bit quirk is my trademark when creating a look.
Can you give tips on how to wear this trend?
Be very careful in choosing the right flare for your body shape. Remember that wide-legged trousers will surely be a major piece in your outfit. Incorporating only few accessories will keep the look chic and not too busy. And also, don't hesitate to experiment and add pieces that will give the look a lot of character!
How would you wear it during the day, night, to the beach, to a party, to work?
For day: brown Oxfords, boyfriend's gray sweater, dad's gold watch, mom's bib necklace, a Speedy bag and neon trousers, for running errands.
For night: my Wisteria peach wedges, Miu Miu white top, vintage gold necklace, gold dragon bracelet, mom's vintage Lucite purse and neon trousers, for a night to lounge with friends, like what I wore in the photo.
For the beach (day or night): barefoot, mini tube top (in peach), pastel scarf tied as a belt, gold octopus earrings, a sun-kissed tan and neon trousers.

What made you try this trend?
Back in the seventh grade, my friends and I used to wear elephant pants and I considered it as my biggest fashion faux-pas moment. I wanted to redeem myself and prove that wide-legged trousers can be chic if styled accordingly.
How did you build your outfit around it?
I kept in mind what I was going to do that day—I had a shoot with kids in the morning and I had a dinner date with my college girlfriends in the evening so I wanted to strike balance since I didn't have time to change anymore.
How did you style it to make the look your own?
I made sure it's still casual and laid back so I opted for a denim pair. I finished it off with my favorite sky-high heels.
How did you accessorize?
Since the outfit was already bottom heavy, I kept the top part light with white and lace. I wore simple accessories with brown tones like my belt, bag, shoes, necklace, and bangles. I, however, couldn't resist over-stacking my fingers with colorful rings—gotta love those little bursts of quirk!
Can you give tips on how to wear this trend?
Wear killer shoes! And as with all trends, confidence is key. I strongly believe that you'll look good if you feel good.
How would you wear it during the day, night, to the beach, to a party, to work?
For a night out, I'd change the top to a corset. For the beach, I'd wear a bikini top, throw on a hat, change into my flip-flops and put on my aviators.

What made you try this trend?
Wide-legged trousers isn't something new. It was a trend in the 70's and since then, it keeps on coming back. I've always been a fan of wide-legged and flared pants so I'm definitely one of those people rejoicing over its return. I didn't just "try" this trend, it's more like resurrecting a long lost love.
How did you build your outfit around it? How did you style it to make the look your own?
I was aiming for a prim and proper look so I thought of pairing my plaid wide-legged pants with a pleated ruffled blouse. Throwing in a hint of sexiness are the low neckline and sheer fabric of the top whose style is perfect for office and even after-office activities. So as not to look too plain, I used a vintage camel belt with a gold buckle and a red bag for a pop of color. I also chose to wear sandals with wooden chunky heels that peep below the hemline of my trousers.
How did you balance your look to avoid making it look over-the-top?
When wearing voluminous pants, I make sure to pair it with a waist-defining top. Either I tuck it in or use a fitted top or a cropped shirt, if I prefer it untucked. Pairing wide-legged trousers with long and big tops can look unflattering, especially if you're not blessed with long legs.
How do you accessorize?
Wide-legged trousers look really good with sky-high heels or wedges. The structure of the pants becomes more defined and it makes the legs look longer. As for other accessories, I've always been a fan of piling up bangles or bracelets, you'll never go wrong with it. Using necklaces really depends on the kind of top you are wearing. Since my top has too many details already, I chose to skip on necklaces.

The length of flared trousers should be long enough for your shoes to peep through. Wearing it with heels or wedges would be perfect to create an illusion of longer leg line. And for a structured look, tops that define the waist look great with wide-legged pants.
How would you wear it during the day, night, to the beach, to a party, to work?
There are various kinds of wide-legged pants to choose from for office wear, weekend shopping, or even a night out. This outfit I wore would be perfect for office to after-office events. If the top is too revealing for the office because of the sheer fabric and low neckline, you can easily throw on a short tailored blazer for a more polished look. For a party, I would wear high-waisted pants with an embellished tank top, skinny belt and sky-high heels. A comfortable pair of flowy wide-legged pants in a pastel color is also perfect for summer. Just pair it with a tank top, a mix of colorful bangles, and wedge espadrilles or even flats and you're ready to hit the beach.

What made you try this trend?
I love “flowy” and loose pieces. Wide-legged pants in particular intrigued me because they're comfortable and they look chic.
How did you build your outfit around it?
I chose a nude-toned pair to keep it simple. Since wide-legged pants are a statement in itself, I just paired it off with a cropped top and a belt.
How did you style it to make the look your own?
I used my favorite animal print belt to clinch the waist and break the blocking of my top and bottom.
How did you balance your look to avoid making it look over-the-top?
I wore very basic tones, such as black and nude. Like I said, the pants in itself are a statement already, I didn't feel the need to use a more eye-catching top anymore.
How do you accessorize?
I use belts on the waist and I use tops that are a little bit simpler than what I usually wear. Also, I like adding my usual necklaces (both long and short) and lots of bangles!
How would you wear it during the day, night, to the beach, to a party, to work?
During the day you can wear the pants with gladiators, a printed top a necklace and a few accessories. At the beach you can wear it with just a bikini top and a simple blouse left open. It will be really cute too if you accessorize with a turban or scarf on your head! Later in the day you can change up the look by wearing it with heels.

What made you try this trend?
I wanted to try this look because I've had these trousers for years now but I only wore it twice and according to many they're very flattering but I'm not one to wear wide-legged pants. Also because a blog reader suggested that I'd wear wided legged pants during one of my blog posts cause it's something “not-quite-me” so to say.
How did you build your outfit around it?
Well, I made sure to keep it simple yet chic. I see wide-legged pants as something quite corporate so it needs to be something very minimalistic.
How did you style it to make the look your own?
By making this look edgy. I used studs and layers or accessories to give my “simple” look some attitude.
How did you balance your look to avoid making it look over-the-top?
I guess by not layering too much. Because in my honest opinion, this look, looks great with a nice tank top, sky-high heels, a blazer and accessories like a scarf or a hat, suspenders, necklaces and rings! I can't picture wide legged trousers with layers and layers—but do correct me if I'm wrong!
How do you accessorize when you wear wide-legged trousers?
Necklaces would be great as well as nice statement heels, pumps most especially. A cute hat and some rings would be cool and maybe suspenders to give it that androgynous feel.
Can you give tips on how to wear this trend?
If you were to ask me, I'd suggest for you to wear wide-legged trousers with a plain tank top tucked into the pants, sky-high statement heels, rings, bangles and a nice bag, which will complement the accessories or heels that you picked.
How would you wear it during the day, night, to the beach, to a party, to work?
During the day you can wear this look with a white tank top tucked in, colorful accessories and heels as well (you can even give color blocking a shot)! At night, you can use a more dainty top, maybe a silk sleeveless top, tucked in, but this time maybe just wear a big ring, a nice watch, heels, and a clutch. The same goes for work and a party. And lastly, for the beach, linen wide legged pants are perfect for when you decide to take a stroll along the shore or walk around! You can use it with a bikini top during the day then maybe wear a cropped top at night to keep you from feeling cold.
