Dots are spot-on style as seen in the fashion circuit.

Polka dots have found their way into fashion collections year after year. This season, the runways lined up a fun mix of the classic print. The spots varied in sizes and treatment, but seemed consistent in screaming the statement: “girls just want to have fun.”

Fashion darling, Marc Jacobs, for example, paired dotted separates into quirky ensembles. Urban preppy New Yorkers' go-to designers, Michael Kors and Phillip Lim, interpreted dots with a mod touch. Kors splattered a white shimmery shift dress with blotches of black spots, while Lim's vision of remaking basics included an iridescent top with large sequins.

Locally, our retail favorites have been overflowing with dotted pieces—from jumpsuits to cropped tees—promising to cater to every fashionista's style preference.
