TREND REPORT: PREVIEW BEST DRESSED BALL 2012
Luxe sportswear has been a strong trend seen on the Spring-Summer 2012 runways both internationally and locally making it the perfect dress code for this year's Best Dressed Ball. Brands like Kenzo, Isabel Marant (who brought us those amazing wedge sneakers!), Akris, Alexander Wang and Balenciaga (remember our June cover girls clad in the brand's boxy shorts?) were just some of the few runway looks that we all took inspiration from. The buzz on social media before the event had many quizzical shout outs about how to interpret the theme.
It was nice to see what the ladies and gents came up with for the party, their design-driven Olympic threads hitting the mark. We've listed the top athletic-inspired trends we saw in the club that night to give you a glimpse of the glam side of calisthenics.

We spotted Reggie Aquino using a neon green acrylic clutch while Ornusa Cadness added a pop of color by wearing a cuff and Jae Pickrell completed her judo-themed outfit with shoulder-grazing earrings! |
