TRENDSPOTTING: TRIBAL-PRINT FOOTWEAR
A certain pair of ikat-print booties has caught our eye and we've also noticed that a number of women (mostly those we stalk online!) are wearing these coveted pair from the Aldo and Julian Louie collaboration.
As you can see, Aldo's very first dip into the pool of designer collaborations was a huge hit! Julian Louie, former contestant of Project Runway, designed a capsule collection for the brand that not only got a nod from fashion's big names like Joe Zee of Elle but also a few of Manila's fashion bloggers. We've already spotted the booties on Kookie Buhain, Lexi Gancayco, Lana Tiotuyco and more.
We got word from the people behind Aldo Philippines that stocks of the shoe are fast running out and that they are, as of press time, only available in two branches—Bonifacio High Street and Greenbelt 5. They tried to order more for the Philippine market but it was sold out everywhere else in the world too! We say, run and not walk to the nearest store.
